Support from MEDWING

We help you with every step of the way and cover the costs incurred together with your future employer. Here you can find more information about what MEDWING offers you:

Job search & interview process

We take your preferences seriously and find the right employer for you among our >2,500 partners. It takes into account which type of institution and in which department you would like to work, what geographical preferences you have and which employers suit you culturally. We will provide you with transparent information about the available job offers, answer all questions about Germany and the process, and prepare you for the interview with the employer.

Recognition & work permit

We create checklists with the documents that we need from you for all processes from the authorities. This is complex, but we support you and have local contacts in many countries through our partners who will help you locally and in their mother tongue. We or our partners will translate and certify your documents and submit the applications to the German authorities. We support you, but it is also important that you apply for certain documents in your home country (such as a police certificate, documents from your university or education) and make them available to us in good time. Once all documents are available, we apply for recognition, work permit and arrange the visa appointment.

Integration & Pastoral Care

In addition to administrative relocation issues, we will support you during your first few months on behalf of your employer with various training courses, activities and lots of interview opportunities. For example, we will take a city tour, a trip to the surrounding area, digital consultations, give you tips in our social media groups or organise a Christmas party. You are part of the MEDWING community and together we want you to feel at home in Germany, with your employer and in your new place of residence. We have a team of integration advisors who will support and guide you through integration.

language education

The German language is the key and important for recognition and, of course, for integration — after all, you should understand colleagues, patients and new friends in Germany. You must present a B2 certificate at the latest when the adjustment measure is completed - but you often need an A2, B1 or even B2 level for the visa as well. As a rule, only Telc, ÖSD or Goethe certificates are recognized here. MEDWING organizes your language course and also covers the costs of the course and the necessary language exam. Details may depend on the country and will be discussed with you during the recruitment process. Professional admission currently requires the B2 level in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (GER). In future, the language certificate will be based on a B2 technical language test, i.e. for technical language care. In addition to general language courses, courses are also offered that specifically prepare you for professional practice in nursing professions.

Relocation & Immigration

To ensure that you get to Germany safely, we will organize your trip to Germany and cover the travel expenses together with your employer. We will explain all processes to you before you leave and also go through a packing list so that you don't forget anything, but also don't take too much with you to Germany. After arrival, we will also help you get started with all important topics: health insurance, registration in Germany, appointments with the immigration authority, bus timetable and commutes, etc. An apartment will be organized for you either by your employer or by MEDWING - we take into account that it is not that expensive and that you can pay the rent well.

That is what we expect from you

1

1

Project preparation

You should have successfully completed nursing studies or training as a nurse (or in the respective profession) in your home country.

2

2

Careful pre-selection

Active participation and successful completion of a B1 or B2 level German course (depending on the employer) are a prerequisite for starting work in Germany. At B1 at the latest, you should plan plenty of time for the language course (we will discuss details in the preliminary talks).

3

3

B2 language level

All documents required for the process must be submitted on time - we need your help with some documents! It would be great if you apply for the documents in good time - you can always contact us if you have any questions.

4

4

migration process

If you accept a job and sign an employment contract, we ask you to make your decision consciously and be able to imagine working for the employer on a long-term basis. Even though there is no minimum term specified in the contract, this is a level of fairness that we expect from you.

5

Support and integration

We help your new employee with registration, accommodation search and naturalization. Mediators support internal specialists and your team during the first few months.
